Audit of the Judiciary Committee, 'Investigating the Moon Jae In and Not Suspecting First Lady Kim' battle

In a parliamentary audit of the Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office by the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, the ruling and opposition parties sparred over the investigation into former President Moon Jae In and the acquittal of Kim Gun-hee of the alleged manipulation of stock prices.

People's Power lawmakers pointed out that former President Moon is being investigated by the prosecution as a suspect for bribery over allegations of preferential hiring of his old son-in-law, and that it is no different from the "modern hawk magic" that privately abused the president's authority.

On the other hand, lawmakers of the Democratic Party of Korea criticized the prosecution and the Lee administration, saying that while the prosecution harshly investigated former President Moon's family, it did not indict Kim, who was suspected of conspiring to manipulate stock prices, and that the prosecution and the regime would be destroyed.
