A group of people who sold hemp at a drug shopping mall on the so-called "dark web," which is difficult to track IP, was also sentenced to prison on appeal.

The Seoul High Court today (17th) sentenced A and B charged with violating the Drug Trade Prevention Act to two years in prison, respectively, and accomplice C to one and a half years in prison and four years of probation.

The court explained the reason for the sentencing, saying that drug crimes are very harmful to society.

Mr. A and Mr. B are accused of selling cannabis grown themselves on the dark web 47 times from March to November last year, earning more than 43 million won, and smoking marijuana with Mr. C, who helped grow hemp.

The site they used was the only drug sales site in Korea operated on the dark web, with 4,000 members.
