Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in the suspicion of intervening in the nomination of Kim Gun-hee, said he made the remarks to scare former lawmaker Kim Young-sun by not paying back the money when a transcript was released ahead of the general election in April. In a phone call with YTN,

asked Kang Hye-kyung, former congressman Kim's accounting manager, what does he have to do with the nomination, and said, "If so, why would he go to Chilbulsa with Kim on the nomination issue?"

He then claimed that the money was 60 million won he gave to Kang Hye-kyung, and that Kang gave the money to former lawmaker Kim, but Kim did not pay it back, making it very difficult at the time.

He also stressed that if he had helped nominate Kim in the 2022 by-elections, former lawmaker Kim would not have paid back his money at the time, and to ask Kang or former lawmaker Kim, who raised related suspicions.

also responded that it was ridiculous to Kang's claim that he discussed the 'Yoon nuclear tube' issue while talking about dreams with Kim in December 2021, saying it was ridiculous to believe such a story.

stressed that Kang's claim was false during the press call, and he said, "If the people's power will accuse him of perjury, he should do it himself."
