The number of teenagers caught on gambling charges in Incheon has soared in a year.
A high-ranking official of the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency said at a press conference today (22nd) that 590 teenagers were arrested for gambling from January to September this year, up sharply from three in the same period last year.
The official analyzed that the number of teenagers caught was relatively small last year, focusing on cracking down on gambling site operators.
Police said they are working with the Office of Education to prevent youth gambling.
