The president's office welcomed the decision of the Korean Medical Association, an academic organization in the medical community, to participate in the ruling and opposition parties' consultative body on medical reform.

A senior official at the presidential office said, "We welcome the participation of the Korean Medical Association and the Medical Graduate Association in the ruling and opposition parties and will actively engage in future dialogue."

Earlier, these organizations issued a statement saying they would participate in the ruling and opposition parties' government consultative body to fulfill their responsibilities as an expert group.
