In-service police who stole 300 million won worth of confiscated goods sent to custody

An incumbent police officer suspected of stealing 300 million won worth of confiscated goods has been handed over to the prosecution in custody.

The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul today (22nd) arrested Sergeant Jeong, who is accused of embezzlement and theft on the job.

Sergeant Jeong is a member of the Gangnam Police Station's investigation department and is accused of stealing 300 million won worth of confiscated goods, including illegal gambling funds, several times from June to the latest.

The police urgently arrested Sergeant Jeong at the office on the 14th and released his position the next day.
