Political circles were in turmoil all day long after the names of 27 politicians who said they were related to Myung Tae-kyun, a key figure in Kim Gun-hee's alleged intervention in the nomination.

Most of the parties whose names were mentioned denied their involvement with Myung, calling it a "blur in nature."

Kang Hye-kyung, who raised suspicions of intervening in the nomination of Kim Gun-hee, submitted the names of 27 politicians who were related to Myung Tae-kyun to the National Assembly after attending as witnesses for the parliamentary audit.

[Kang Hye-kyung / Former Future Korea Research Institute employee: It's not a deal, but it's related to them through CEO Myung Tae-kyun or Future Korea Research Institute.]

The list mainly contained the names of ruling party figures, including President Yoon Suk Yeol, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo, and Na Kyung-won, a member of the People's Power.

Some opposition politicians, including Lee Eon-joo, a supreme council member of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Yeo Young-guk, a former lawmaker of the Justice Party, were also included.

Most of the parties whose names were mentioned gave an explanation that they had nothing to do with Myung.

Rep. Na Kyung-won refuted on her SNS, saying she had never asked Myung for any form of opinion poll, saying it was a clear false fact.

Iron State also pointed out that the essence should not be blurred by a list of politicians who are not related to the alleged manipulation of state affairs.

Although not on the list, Lim Tae-hee, superintendent of Gyeonggi-do Province, who was suspected of reviewing his resume at the presidential transition committee shortly after Yoon's election, also denied it completely at the parliamentary audit.

[Im Tae-hee / Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education] If you look at your resume, you can search it on the Internet, so I can't check what kind of resume you looked at.]

In a phone call with YTN, Myung Tae-kyun expressed his position to the effect that there was no illegality in his poll and that it had nothing to do with former lawmaker Kim's nomination.

He also posted a Telegram message on his SNS that appeared to have been exchanged with First Lady Kim Gun-hee and wrote that perjury is punished in the parliamentary audit, which was interpreted as refuting Kang's claim that there was a spiritual conversation between the two, such as giving Kim a "dream understanding."

People's Power raised questions about credibility over the so-called "Myeongtae-gyun list," saying that most of Kang's testimony was just his words.

[Choo Kyung-ho / People's Power Floor Leader: I have many questions about how credibly we should evaluate that statement..]

The Democratic Party of Korea expressed a cautious position, saying it will consider whether there are any violations, considering the explanations of the parties.

[Jang Kyung-tae / Member of the Democratic Party of Korea: It seems that it is a matter that needs to be verified for violations of the Political Fund Act, which includes illegal acceptance of political funds or restrictions on donations.]

{강}Kang's side has room to disclose additional evidence, including transcripts exchanged with Myung, so the political controversy is expected to continue for a while.
