Amid the assessment that the meeting between President Yoon Suk Yeol and Representative Han Dong-hoon of People's Power ended virtually empty-handed, attention is now focused on the Kim Gun-hee Special Prosecutor Act, which was proposed by the opposition party for the third time.

The opposition party repeatedly pressed for the special prosecution law, and the ruling party still emphasized its opposition, but some in the close circle also expressed a sense of crisis that there would be more votes to leave.

The Democratic Party of Korea dismissed the meeting between President Yoon Suk Yeol and Representative Han Dong-hoon as "Mengtang," which fell short of the public's expectations, saying, "There was nothing to eat at the famous feast."

The biggest concern was "Kim Gun-hee's special prosecutor," but he set the day that the special prosecutor is now inevitable, saying that they broke up empty-handed while only talking to each other.

[Park Chan-dae / Minjoo Party floor leader: Special prosecutor Kim Gun-hee is inevitable. Even if you use a prince in your palm, no matter how clever a sorcerer you bring in, you will never avoid an independent counsel.]

In particular, he pushed representative Han Dong-hoon, saying that he has to make a decision now, and that if he refuses the special prosecution, he will collapse like President Yoon and his wife.

[Park Sung-joon/ Deputy floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea: The way to break this down is by the official law, Han Dong-hoon. Isn't it the Yoon Suk Yeol regime's manipulation of state affairs, First Lady Kim Gun-hee's manipulation of state affairs, and the people's passing of the Special Prosecutor Act?]

However, Choo Kyung-ho, floor leader of the People's Power Party, has made it more clear that he opposes the Special Prosecutor's Law on Kim.

The independent counsel law proposed by the Democratic Party is anti-constitutional, and most of the other lawmakers think the same, stressing the "single confrontation."

[Choo Kyung-ho / People's Power Floor Leader: Most lawmakers feel the same way, so if the independent counsel bill is implemented, we will join forces with our lawmakers to block the anti-constitutional independent counsel bill....]

Close aides also say they will not be caught up in the Democratic Party's "separation," but some expressed concern that the cause to prevent the re-vote departure is disappearing.

[Kim Jong-hyuk / Supreme Council member of the People's Power (SBS Radio's 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show'): We can't deny that public sentiment continues to deteriorate, so if the presidential office thinks this too easily, it could lead to a very, very unfortunate result.]

The Democratic Party of Korea is determined to immediately pass the Special Prosecutor Kim Act in the middle of next month after the parliamentary audit.

If the president vetoes again, attention will also be paid to the second round of talks between Han Dong-hoon and Lee Jae-myung, the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties, which could coincide with the timing of the re-vote.
