The Government Public Service Ethics Committee has disclosed the property registration of 76 high-ranking officials.
Among the candidates for occasional disclosure in October, Park Jong-seok, the special ambassador for Kuwait, reported 8.3 billion won, including land and apartments owned by him and his mother.
Shin Soo-jin, presidential secretary for culture and sports, then reported 7.6 billion won, and Kim Won-seop, director of Chungbuk National University Hospital, reported 7.2 billion won.
Among the retirees, Kim Hong-il, former chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, reported a total of 6.2 billion won in assets, including owning apartments in Yongsan under the names of himself and his spouse, followed by Lee Yong-hoon, former president of the Ulsan Institute of Science and Technology, with 5 billion won, and Moon Seung-hyun, former vice minister of unification, with 4.9 billion won.
In October, high-ranking government officials' occasional property disclosure data was placed in the electronic official gazette under the Public Service Ethics Act.
