Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, called for the expulsion of Han Ki-ho, a member of the People's Power who sent a text message to Shin Won-sik, head of the National Security Office, to attack North Korean troops dispatched to Russia.

Lee said at the Supreme Council, "It is hard to understand why a lawmaker of the ruling party is committing such a dangerous thing when tensions are rising on the Korean Peninsula right now, even if there is a war right now."

President Yoon Suk Yeol then urged the head of the security office Shin Won-sik to be reprimanded, saying that the government, which failed to protect young Marines and numerous young people in Itaewon, is trying to bring the war going on in this area to the Korean Peninsula.

Democratic Party lawmakers held a rally to denounce the idea of a "sociopath" that people's lives can be sacrificed, saying that Han's argument is a dangerous north wind mall to break through the regime's crisis by bringing war to the Korean Peninsula.
