Rumfiskin occurred at Dangjin Korean Beef Farm in South Chungcheong Province...Temporary suspension of movement of four cities and counties

Rumpiskin, a livestock infectious disease, has been identified at a Korean beef breeding farm in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do.

Chungcheongnam-do announced that 17 out of 18 Korean beef raised on a farm in Hapdeok-eup, Dangjin-si were confirmed to be positive for rumfiskins and decided to dispose of them with high-temperature heat treatment equipment.

The quarantine authorities conducted disinfection and epidemiological investigations while controlling access to the farm, and conducted clinical tests on 170 farms, including farms that were confirmed to have epidemiological relationships with cattle breeders within a 5km radius of the farm where the outbreak occurred.

In addition, workers at livestock facilities in four cities and counties, including Dangjin, Asan, Yesan, and Seosan, were ordered to temporarily suspend movement until 7 a.m. on the 27th.

This is the 12th time Rumpiskin has been confirmed this year, and the first case in Chungnam.
