Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, said he hopes the government will use Dokdo Day as an opportunity to look back on its unilateral diplomacy with Japan.

Lee said at the Supreme Council that the Korean people's voluntary and passionate efforts to honor Dokdo are also a warning to the government's actions and absurdities that have insisted on unilateral diplomacy with Japan.

Supreme Council member Kim Byung-joo stressed that increasing interest in Dokdo would be the first step in preventing a runaway, saying that the Yoon Suk Yeol regime is moving toward an alliance with Japan even though Japan is showing its ambition to seek Dokdo.
