With the U.S. presidential election just 10 days away, the New York Times' last poll before the presidential election showed that Vice President Harris and former President Trump's national approval ratings were tied.

The New York Times said the University of Siena and 2,516 voters nationwide between 20 and 23 had the same approval rating of 48 percent each, narrowing the gap from a poll earlier this month, when Vice President Harris led by 3 percentage points.

The New York Times called the findings uninspiring for Harris, explaining that 28% of respondents said the country was heading in the right direction, also working against the ruling party.

Among the key issues, 54% said former President Trump would solve the immigration issue better, compared to 43% of Vice President Harris, and 52% said the economy would be well managed by former President Trump, compared to 45% of Vice President Harris.

On the issue of abortion rights, 55% said Vice President Harris would do better, outpacing 40% who chose former President Trump.

Fifteen percent of voters said they had not yet decided on a candidate to support, with 42 percent leaning toward Vice President Harris and 32 percent leaning toward former President Trump.

Nine percent of respondents have already cast their ballots early, with 59 percent supporting Vice President Harris and 40 percent supporting former President Trump.
