The Korean Teachers and Education Workers' Union (KTU) called for a complete withdrawal, saying the Ministry of Education is rushing to integrate kindergartens and daycare centers.
The KTU held a national teacher resolution meeting in front of the Seoul Government Complex today (26th) and strongly criticized the Ministry of Education, saying that reservation integration is being carried out without specific plans, budget, and manpower.
Unlike Europe, which has a national and public share of more than 70%, Korea has an overwhelmingly high ratio of private kindergartens and daycare centers, and argued that the government should strengthen the publicity of early childhood education through a public system rather than rushing to integrate reservations.
