The 2nd anniversary of the Itaewon disaster will be held at 6:34 p.m.

Ahead of the second anniversary of the Itaewon disaster, a civic memorial contest was held at Seoul Plaza this evening.


10.29 The Itaewon Victims' Council and the Citizens' Countermeasures Conference held a citizens' memorial contest for the second anniversary of the 10.29 Itaewon disaster at 6:34 p.m. on the day of the first report.

The memorial meeting was attended by not only the bereaved family council, but also the 4.16 Family Council, the chairman of the 10.29 Itaewon Special Investigation Committee, and floor leaders and standing representatives of seven ruling and opposition parties.

Prior to this, at 2 p.m., a four-way prayer meeting was held in front of Exit 1 of Itaewon Station to honor 159 victims.
