Parents' Solidarity for Gangwon Public Alternative Schools "condemns the reduction of special operating expenses."

The parents' association of public alternative schools in Gangwon-do held a rally and criticized that the education office drastically reduced the special operation cost, which had been 150 million won each for three public alternative schools in Gangwon-do, to 50 million won, as an unconventional decision that violates the basic rights of education and threatens the future of students.

He then argued that budget cuts in public alternative schools that discover and disseminate various educational models would lead to downward leveling of alternative education as a whole.

Regarding the budget cut, Gangwon Superintendent of Education Shin Kyung-ho said in a meeting with reporters on the 23rd that there is a saying that public alternative schools in the province are aristocratic schools, and that he ordered public alternative schools to be the same as other private alternative schools in Gangwon Province are receiving 50 million won each.
