Yes, it's at the Seoul Meteorological Observatory.

You visited a special place today, didn't you?

[Caster]
Yes. This is the place where the Korea Meteorological Administration used to be, and now it is operated as an observation station to observe the official weather of Seoul.

The official observations of Seoul are recorded based on the temperature and precipitation measured here and the standard trees here.

This tree next to me is the Seoul Maple Tree Standard Tree.

Based on this tree, if 20% is colored, it is the first autumn leaves in Seoul, and if 80% is colored, it is the peak.

Now it is around 10%, so it is still not officially possible to say that autumn leaves have begun in Seoul.

This year, the autumn leaves are colored late due to the long late heat and volatile autumn weather.

The last autumn leaves were observed in Hallasan Mountain yesterday (29th).

In the case of Seoraksan Mountain, the autumn leaves have finally reached their peak.

Inland foliage has not yet accelerated, with official autumn leaves yet to begin in Naejangsan Mountain, and the first autumn leaves in Bukhansan Mountain, Seoul, about a week ago.

For the time being, the inland area will be clear, and the daily temperature range will continue, and it will rain mainly in the south and Jeju Island between tomorrow and the day after tomorrow.

After that, the temperature will drop significantly, and the morning temperature in Seoul will also drop below 5 degrees.

Therefore, we will gradually speed up the autumn leaves from early next week.

However, as the temperature drops sharply, if you go on a maple outing, you should dress warmly.

So far, at the Seoul Meteorological Observatory, this is YTN Lee Hye-min.
