background
Now the typhoon is passing along the coast of Zhejiang Province in mainland China.

Up to 358 millimeters of rain fell in the region during the day.

The Zhejiang government evacuated 280,000 people, including coastal and mountainous villagers.

Shanghai, China's largest economic city, also received up to 132 millimeters of rain overnight.

It is said that November's precipitation is the highest in 43 years since 1981.

The typhoon is expected to dissipate tonight as it moves northward through the coast of Shanghai to the far south of Jeju.

The typhoon passed through southeast Taiwan to the northwest for five hours yesterday afternoon.

Taiwan's Central Disaster Response Center said the typhoon killed one person and injured 205 others.

It was different from local media reporting that the death toll was three.

Companies and schools have not opened in most parts of Taiwan, and 740,000 homes have lost power.

Taiwan's Meteorological Department said it was the first typhoon to make landfall in late October since the 1958 observation.

In particular, the rain clouds were thick enough to pour up to 1,500mm of heavy rain for three days, so even if the typhoon disappears from the far sea of Jeju, preparation seems necessary.
