Breaking News Jeju and Seongsan, November's heaviest rain...Mountain map over 200mm

Jeju Island, where a heavy rain warning was issued, received about 200mm of heavy rain today (1st), recording the highest daily precipitation ever as of November.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that the daily precipitation in Jeju and Seongsan, where the observatory is located, was 160.6mm and 168mm, the highest since the regional observation.

In particular, mountainous areas with topographical factors exceeded 200mm around azalea fields and triangular peaks.

The Korea Meteorological Administration said that between tonight and early morning tomorrow, a temperate low pressure weakened by Typhoon Kongrey will pass through the southern waters of Jeju Island, bringing more than 250 millimeters of heavy rain to the mountains of Jeju Island.
