"Are you speaking Chinese while eating ramen?"... "Fake video of North Korean military." Warning.

Fake news from unknown sources is rampant regarding North Korean troops sent to the Ukraine war, Ukrainian media reported.

The Ukrainian daily Kyiv Post said on SNS X that a video of the North Korean military dispatched for Russia eating meat and instant ramen was posted, but it was not true.

Kiu Post pointed out that the man in the video is "speaking in Chinese, not Korean," and appears to be a mercenary from China who has nothing to do with North Korea.

He then said that the video appears to have first started to be shared on Chinese social media, and that some Chinese mercenaries belonging to the Russian military often upload the video.

The authenticity of the video, which received the attention of the domestic media by posting it on Telegram, saying it was an interview of a North Korean soldier who had lost all his colleagues and survived alone, has not been identified for several days.

In addition, last month, there was a claim from a Russian mercenary from China that all eight North Korean officers were killed on the first day of the deployment of the Ukrainian front line, but no official evidence was provided to support it, the media added.
