China unveils next-generation stealth J-35A at its biggest air show next week.
"The J-35A will have the opportunity to meet with the public during the air show," the Chinese Air Force said at a press conference in Beijing today.
Designed to be undetected by radar, the J-35A is a fifth-generation Chinese fighter first unveiled in 2014, developed following the stealth fighter J-20 deployed in 2017.
If China deploys the J-35A in action, it will become the second country in the world to simultaneously electrify two stealth fighter jets, following the U.S. Air Force with F-22 and F-35.
The Zhuhai Air Show, China's largest air show, will be held in Zhuhai, southern China's Guangdong Province, from the 12th to the 17th.
