Families of abductees push for sea and land distribution of leaflets to North Korea

The distribution of leaflets to North Korea, which was canceled last month due to resistance from residents, will be carried out simultaneously in Goseong, Gangwon-do, and on land.

The family group of abductees said it decided to use other ships to distribute leaflets to North Korea following the Coast Guard's explanation that the distribution of sea leaflets using fishing boats is a violation of the Fishing Boat Act.

In the case of other ships, the Coast Guard plans to decide whether to enter or leave after reviewing safety and related regulations.

The family group of abductees submitted a report to the Goseong Police Station to distribute leaflets on the land of Goseong, and plans to finalize the schedule of spraying according to weather conditions.
