Around 1:30 p.m. today (3rd), a fire broke out on an electric kickboard parked in the hallway of an officetel in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and about 30 residents were evacuated.
An investigation found that the cause of yesterday's apartment fire in Hwanggeum-dong, Daegu, appears to be an explosion of pesticides.

A charred electric kickboard is erected, and the hallway floor is covered with soot and ash.
The electric kickboard built in the hallway on the second floor of a nine-story officetel in Godeung-dong, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, caught fire and was extinguished in 10 minutes.
No one was injured, but more than 30 residents were evacuated due to the thick smoke in the corridor.
The owner told fire authorities and police that he charged the kickboard in the house and took it out, and suddenly it caught fire.
The exterior walls of the apartment burned black, and the smoke kept coming out of the window.
A joint inspection found that the cause of the apartment fire in Hwanggeum-dong, Daegu, appears to be a spray-type pesticide explosion.
On the veranda of the house on fire, a portable burner was boiling gomtang, and it was found that a spray-type insecticide was placed next to a heated burner.
Fire authorities believe the fire caused 165 million won in property damage, including 48 households being burned by smoke.
At around 11 a.m., a disconnected line hit a 50-year-old worker in the face during a temporary electricity construction work at an apartment complex construction site in Jeju City.
The victim was taken to a hospital but eventually died, and the police and the local labor office are investigating the field manager for violations of the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
