People's Power Representative Han Dong-hoon urged President Yoon Suk Yeol to take stern responsibility by explaining the current dire situation himself and immediately dismissing the defense minister who proposed martial law.Speaking to reporters at the National Assembly, representative

said, "As the ruling party, I am sorry to the people."

He then said he would do his job as the ruling party to minimize economic and diplomatic damage, adding that he would immediately convene a general meeting of the Supreme Council and lawmakers to find out more details.

The People's Power will hold a Supreme Council meeting at 7 a.m. and a general meeting of lawmakers an hour later.
