Four hours before President Yoon Suk Yeol declared an emergency martial law, it was confirmed that he ordered Police Commissioner George Ho to wait for an emergency.

Commissioner Cho said he was not aware of the martial law plan, but controversy is expected in the future over the process of putting in career near the National Assembly.

It was around 6:20 p.m. when National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho was notified of the president's office in connection with the declaration of emergency martial law.
