In the future, various convenience facilities such as logistics warehouses, hypermarkets, and indoor sports facilities will be built in urban planning facilities such as bus terminals.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said it is announcing a legislative revision of rules on urban planning facilities that govern infrastructure such as roads, parking lots, railroads and schools.
Until now, urban planning facilities have been restricted from developing for other purposes and prohibited from installing convenience facilities, but the revision has expanded the number of facilities that can install convenience facilities from 23 to 40.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport believes that if the revision is implemented, various convenience facilities such as warehouses and movie theaters can be built at bus terminals in provincial areas, which have been on the verge of closing due to financial difficulties, and that the convenience of delivery companies using it will also increase significantly.
