People's Power "Coming to the Ethics Committee of Kim Yong-min for making remarks on an accomplice in a civil war"

2024.12.18 PM 12:11
People's Power said it will file a complaint with the National Assembly Ethics Committee against Kim Yong-min of the Democratic Party of Korea, who referred to his party's lawmakers as "civil war accomplices."

Yoo Sang-beom, the ruling party secretary of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, told reporters that Kim's remarks are something that cannot be overlooked, and that making such a rude comment to the same lawmaker raises doubts about his qualifications as a lawmaker.

Earlier, Rep. Kim used the term "an accomplice in a civil war," saying at a plenary session of the Judiciary Committee yesterday (17th) that many members of the People's Power delayed the plenary session to demand the lifting of martial law, and ruling party lawmakers strongly protested.
