President Yoon Suk Yeol's refusal to serve documents by the Constitutional Court in succession has disrupted the impeachment trial from the first step.

Inside the Constitutional Court, there is an atmosphere of embarrassment, and tomorrow, we will announce our position on whether to consider serving.

I'm connecting with a reporter from the Constitutional Court. Reporter Kim Taewon!

Yes, it's the Constitutional Court.

President Yoon, are you still not receiving documents on the impeachment trial?

[Reporter]
Yes, from the 16th to the 20th, the Constitutional Court sent documents related to the trial, such as notice of receipt of the impeachment trial, request for attendance, and preparation orders, to President Yoon through the mail and staff.

However, President Yoon's side is still refusing to accept the documents, citing the reason that the recipient is not present six days after they began sending the documents.

The Constitutional Court previously heard the impeachment trial of former President Roh Moo Hyun or former President Park Geun Hye, but this is the first time that it has suffered from service. In the case of former President Roh

, the documents were reportedly served the day after the impeachment motion was passed.

Four days after the service, he also submitted a proxy lawsuit and a written opinion.

Former President Park Geun Hye was also served with a notice of receipt from the Constitutional Court on the day of approval and submitted a letter of attorney and response a week later.

Compared to the previous case, it is already quite late, but the Constitutional Court is also struggling to come up with measures, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, constitutional judges are reportedly reviewing impeachment trial documents at home and elsewhere on weekends and organizing their opinions.

However, it is known that they are considering countermeasures as there are growing concerns that the trial will be delayed due to problems from the first step, delivery.

The Constitutional Court will announce its final position on how to deal with the delivery issue tomorrow afternoon (23rd).

A method of considering that it has been served a week after electronic service, or a public service service posted on the Constitutional Court bulletin board,
Kindergarten delivery, which is believed to have been delivered by placing documents at the
delivery site, is being discussed as a countermeasure.

The Constitutional Court plans to proceed with the first hearing preparation date scheduled for the 27th without any change.

Even if the service is considered, President Yoon will not appear on the date, saying he has not completed the formation of the delegation, or
It is difficult to rule out the possibility that the trial will remain idle for the time being if you claim that time is needed to review
documents.

So far, I'm Kim Tae-won of YTN at the Constitutional Court.
