"The prosecution's raid is illegal and should be canceled"...a quasi-appeal to the head of the National Investigation Division

Woo Jong-soo, head of the National Investigation Division of the National Police Agency, who was raided by the prosecution's special investigation headquarters in connection with the allegation that the police were mobilized as "arrest assistance" at the time of the emergency martial law, filed a quasi-appeal with the court to cancel the warrant, saying it was illegal to execute it.

The National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters said that Director Woo and three senior officials from the National Police Agency filed a quasi-appeal on the 24th, after being raided by the special prosecution on the 19th.

The quasi-appeal is an objection procedure filed with the court against the disposition of an auditor or judicial police officer, and the National Defense Agency explained that it asked the court to cancel the disposition because of illegal reasons in the search and seizure.

In addition, the National Assembly argued that the prosecution should clarify the crime charges and obtain a warrant, but it is unfair that the prosecution did not appoint Director Woo as a suspect and executed the warrant as a reference for other cases.

Earlier, the prosecution's special prosecution seized the mobile phones of Director Woo and others on the 19th after seizing the investigation and planning coordinator's office and Yeongdeungpo Police Station Dong in connection with allegations that police officers were mobilized as arrest groups by major politicians and others during martial law.
