Human Rights Commission "Golf Club Restricting Women's Membership, Refusing to Accept Recommendations for Improvement"

Golf clubs that do not sell memberships to women did not accept recommendations for improvement by the National Human Rights Commission of Korea.

In June last year, the NHRC recommended improvements to golf clubs that limit full membership to men, but said it received a reply saying it had no choice but to restrict membership due to the difficulty of expanding women's storage boxes due to facility conditions.

The commission expressed regret that golf clubs do not make minimal efforts to improve discrimination that excludes women.
