Lee Kyu-won, chairman of the strategic committee of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, filed a lawsuit against the Minister of Justice to cancel the dismissal.
Chairman Lee said on his SNS that lawyer Seo Sang-beom, chairman of the party's legal committee, took charge of the case, and said he would win to restore his honor and reveal the face of the prosecution's dictatorship.
Earlier, Chairman Lee resigned to run for the general election as proportional representative of the Innovation Party, but the Ministry of Justice did not accept Chairman Lee because the second trial of the defendant Kim Hak-ui's ban on leaving the country is underway.
Chairman Lee then ran for the general election while maintaining his current status as a prosecutor and did not return to work even after losing the election, and the Ministry of Justice dismissed Chairman Lee from his position as a prosecutor in November, citing his duties.
