Police have launched an investigation in connection with a user believed to be an employee of the National Police Agency posting insults about participants in the "Namtaeryeong Protest" online.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's cyber investigation team launched an internal investigation over the weekend to identify the author who posted posts disparagingly against women in their 20s and 30s who participated in the Nam Tae-ryeong protest on Blind, an anonymous community of office workers.
The user, who set himself as the National Police Agency, is said to have criticized or posted hateful comments, claiming that protesters defend criminal farmers.
