As with last week's parliamentary audit, the opposition party is expected to tighten its offensive rein around the suspicion of First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

Tomorrow, the National Assembly's inspection of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee is expected to question Mrs. Kim's alleged involvement in the nomination and external pressure on the investigation of Chae Sang-byung.

In addition, questions are expected to focus on the "suspected external pressure of customs drug investigations" at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and the direction of non-prosecution and stock price manipulation cases against the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office.

On the other hand, the ruling party will soon counterattack by highlighting city law risks, including Lee Jae-myung's violation of the Public Official Election Act and the perjury teacher case, which is about to be sentenced in the first trial.

The National Audit of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government and the Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency of the Public Administration and Security Committee also plans to mention allegations that Lee Jae-myung gave preferential treatment to KonaI, a local currency management agency when he was governor.

With early voting taking place for two days until yesterday, the main voting day for the by-elections, which will select four heads of local governments and the superintendent of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is just three days away.

Among them, the Busan Geumjeong-gu District Office by-election is considered the biggest battleground between the ruling and opposition parties.

People's Power Party Chairman Han Dong-hoon visited Busan Geumjeong four times during the by-election and appealed for support from the ruling party candidate.

The 'Regional Worker Theory' and the need for personnel reform of the Presidential Office have been put forward to address concerns over the recent suspicions of First Lady Kim Gun-hee.

The opposition party, which has unified the candidates, has also launched an all-out war, with Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung emphasizing that it is the second judgment election against the Yoon Suk Yeol regime, and representative Cho Kuk also participating in the support campaign.

Busan Geumjeong has traditionally been strong in conservative support, but as the government and the ruling party's approval ratings have been unusual recently, it is believed that it is worth seeking to recapture.

The election for Gokseong and Yeonggwang counties in Jeollanam-do, where opposition candidates compete, is also hot.
