A day before the October 16 by-elections, Han Dong-hoon, the representative of the People's Power, visited Busan for the sixth time and made efforts to protect Geumjeong-gu.

Representative Lee Jae-myung, who attended the trial, appealed for support by igniting the "judgment theory" using SNS.

A day before the by-elections, Han Dong-hoon, the representative of the People's Power, who visited Geumjeong-gu, Busan for the sixth time, held a last-minute "complaint" asking him to focus only on selecting "local workers."

Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party, who was unable to go to the campaign site due to his attendance at the trial, encouraged him to rally his supporters with his public remarks.

[Lee Jae-myung/Democratic Party leader: Please think about the meaning of this by-election and actively participate in voting]

Geumjeong-gu, Busan, is the area of greatest interest in the by-elections, where four heads of local governments are at stake.

Although it was a traditional dominant region of the ruling party, the two candidates are competing within the margin of error due to the low approval rating of the party and the unification of the Democratic Party of Korea-Cho Kuk Innovation Party. For representatives of

, if they fail to keep the politics, they could be embroiled in a dispute over responsibility in the future and lose control of the party.

However, within the ruling party, the party believes that recent rumors such as "waste of taxpayers' money" from the Democratic Party of Korea may have adversely affected local public sentiment, and it is seen that it expects to win.

[Cho Kyung-tae / Member of the People's Power (SBS Radio 'Kim Tae-hyun's Political Show'): I think we will judge the part that makes such absurd remarks that are close to defamation about the death of the deceased.]

As the results of the poll are not bad, the Democratic Party seems to be tightening the reins of the "regime judgment theory" offensive in anticipation of the possibility of a new victory by reversing at the last minute.

[Park Chan-dae / Minjoo Party floor leader: We need to make the voices of the people heard once again. The people should listen to the whip so that President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Gun-hee will wake up.]

The Democratic Party is also paying attention to the election of Yeonggwang-gun County, Jeollanam-do, which shows a three-way war with the Cho Kuk Innovation Party and the Progressive Party.

This is because giving up a seat to the party's largest base, the Innovation Party or the Progressive Party in Honam could hurt Chairman Lee Jae-myung's unification leadership.

The by-elections are small in size, but they also mean that representatives Han Dong-hoon and Lee Jae-myung, who are considered the next leading presidential candidates, will go head-to-head.

While both sides are said to have waged an all-out war, some analysts say that the future direction of the political situation will be determined by the results of the battleground election.
