South Korea, the U.S. and Japan "strongly condemn North Korea's threat"... urge to stop military cooperation between North Korea and Russia

The three countries of South Korea, the U.S., and Japan strongly condemned North Korea's recent allegations of infiltration into South Korea and blew up roads on the Gyeongui and East Sea lines, and agreed to respond firmly.

At a regular meeting in Seoul, the vice foreign ministers of South Korea, the U.S., and Japan strongly condemned North Korea for deliberately creating tension through its continued threats.

He also said that the South Korea-U.S. joint defense posture will firmly respond to any North Korean provocations and further strengthen security cooperation among the three countries.

South Korea, the U.S. and Japan called for an immediate end to illegal cooperation, saying it is still difficult to confirm whether North Korea is sending troops to Ukraine, but that increasingly close military cooperation between North Korea and Russia is affecting the war in Ukraine.

In this regular consultation, we also agreed to hold the Korea-U.S.-Japan summit within this year and decided to coordinate specific schedules.
