The government is reportedly considering sending a monitoring team to the region to search for North Korean troops being sent to the Ukraine-Russia war.

A government official said that it is necessary to analyze the tactics and combat power of special forces sent by North Korea for Russia.

The North Korean military monitoring team is composed of military personnel such as soldiers and military personnel who study enemy tactics, and if North Korean soldiers deployed to the battlefield are captured or escaped, there is a possibility that the monitoring team will include agents who can interrogate them.

Due to this nature of work, personnel who have been engaged in North Korea-related tasks, such as the Intelligence Command, are expected to be considered as priority targets for dispatch.

In addition, the possibility of sending agents who can grasp information from North Korean personnel, such as the counterintelligence command, and operational personnel to analyze North Korean military tactics and strategies is also discussed.

It is said that our military has already dispatched a small number of personnel to Israel, which was attacked by Hamas, in a form similar to the monitoring team.

They are said to have focused on identifying the characteristics and performance of North Korean weapons known to have been used by Hamas.
