Park Sung-hoon, a member of the People's Power, argued that it is necessary to investigate the source of funds for the purchase of accommodation over allegations that Dahye, the daughter of former President Moon Jae In, engaged in illegal lodging business in Jeju and Seoul.

In a parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Strategy and Finance Committee held at the Busan Regional Tax Office, Park said Moon is estimated to have earned at least 100 million won and up to 300 million won per night from 280,000 won to 350,000 won for a single house rental business in Hallim-eup, Jeju.

He then said that Moon purchased Yeongdeungpo officetels in Seoul and single-family houses in Jeju for 670 million won and 380 million won, respectively, over a year apart, stressing the need to investigate where and how Moon, who does not have a certain income, raised the funds.

In response, Kim Dong-il, head of the Busan National Tax Service, said, "Please understand that we cannot give you specific information on individual taxpayers."
