The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs said Minister Kang Jeong-ae recently sent a thank-you letter to BTS (BTS) RM, who donated 100 million won to the Veterans Fund in September.
Minister Kang Jeong-ae wrote in his letter that this sharing of RM's sincerity will be a great help to the people of national merit who have dedicated themselves to the country and to the uniform workers who are protecting our daily lives even at this moment.
"RM wearing military uniforms and fulfilling his duty of national defense has become a model for many young people," he said. "I am deeply moved by the meaningful consideration of trying to make a better world based on respect and responsibility for the country and society."
The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs said the donations delivered by RM will be used to honor and promote welfare for people of national merit and bereaved families.
RM joined the army in December last year and is serving, and he will be discharged from the military in June next year.
