Regarding the confusion over the reduction of the limit on stepping-stone loans, a policy loan for home purchases, the president's office said it will provide support to ordinary people in real demand for loans without a hitch.
An official from the presidential office said, "We plan to manage household debt in a stable manner so that there is no burden."
To this end, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport explained that it will soon announce a customized improvement plan for stepping stone loans that comprehensively take into account the situation of each region, subject, and housing type.
Earlier, the government was seeking to reduce the limit on stepping-stone loans, but it caused confusion by suspending the implementation due to growing opposition from end-users.
