The South Korean and U.S. Air Force conducted a large-scale joint air drill in response to North Korea's long-range ballistic missile launch.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said the ROK-U.S. Air Force formed a large combined attack squadron in the West Sea and central inland air space to conduct various tactical flights and precision bombing drills.

In particular, the exercise showed the ability and posture to accurately strike the enemy's mobile launcher targets and stealthily penetrate the virtual enemy radar network to quickly and precisely strike the war leadership, it added.

Combat aircraft such as the F-35A of the Korean Air Force equipped with precision guided weapons and the F-35B of the U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps participated in the training.
