200,000 won per month for North Korean defectors who have no connection to enter society

2024.11.01 PM 03:28
The Ministry of Unification implements an "unrelated youth surcharge" and a "new start incentive" system to support the independence of North Korean defectors.

The surcharge for unmarried youth is a system that pays 200,000 won a month to unmarried North Korean defectors aged 18 to 24 who are about to enter society.

The new start incentive is a system that pays up to 6 million won to North Korean defectors who have settled in the community for a certain period of time if they remain employed for a certain period of time.

It will be applied retroactively as of January 1 this year, and you can be informed at the local Employment and Welfare Plus Center and the North Korean Refugee Regional Adaptation Center.
