The Democratic Party of Korea said it once again called on Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People's Power, to hold a representative meeting to discuss the Special Prosecutor's Law on Kim Gun-hee and follow-up measures to abolish the financial investment income tax.
Senior spokesman Cho Seung-rae met with reporters after the party's high-level strategic meeting and said, "Now is the time for the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties to meet and correct the state affairs in a difficult situation."
He also explained that he decided to consider holding a candlelight march in Seoul by accepting a proposal from a civil society group instead of an outdoor rally planned in Daejeon on the 9th.
