President Yoon Suk Yeol held a summit meeting with Latvian President Edgars Rinkevichs during his working visit to South Korea and exchanged views on ways to promote cooperation between the two countries and the international situation.

The two leaders expressed strong concern, agreeing that illegal military cooperation between Russia and North Korea, including North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia, is threatening security around the world beyond the Korean Peninsula and Europe.

In particular, President Linkevich expressed his support for the South Korean government's North Korea policy and expressed his willingness to jointly respond.
