NEC's "Fraudulent Election, System Impossible"...Yoon Disclaims

2024.12.14 AM 09:00
Roh Tae-ak, chairman of the Central Election Management Committee, refuted President Yoon Suk Yeol's claim that the election system of the National Election Commission was declared as a reason for declaring martial law on the 12th, saying he does not think fraudulent elections are possible under the current system.

Chairman Roh attended an emergency question on the martial law incident and said, "There is no question that the martial law army's inspection of the NEC building is unconstitutional or illegal, and we are shockingly accepting the president's position."

When asked how he evaluated President Yoon's statement to the public in a questionnaire to the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, Kim Yong-bin, secretary-general of the National Election Commission, replied that he could not find any signs of fraudulent elections, saying he did not understand it.

In response to President Yoon's claim that the NIS employee's hacking attempt allowed him to manipulate data, he said the simulation was conducted at a time when the security level was partially lowered, adding that the NEC is legally responding to the search and seizure and has no reason to refuse.
