Killed with a weapon by a fellow foreign sailor...an emergency arrest for a man in his 40s

Mokpo Maritime Police Station is urgently arresting and investigating 47-year-old A for stabbing and killing a fellow sailor.

A is accused of stabbing B, a 30-year-old Vietnamese sailor, to death from a 33-ton fishing boat anchored at Seomang Port in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, at around 1:05 a.m. today (14th).

At that time, A approached B, who was drinking with other foreign sailors in the restaurant on the fishing boat, and committed the crime with a weapon prepared in advance, and B was taken to the hospital by 119 paramedics, but died during treatment.

The Coast Guard is investigating the exact circumstances of the incident based on statements from fellow sailors.
