While the ruling and opposition parties have left open the possibility of some agreement on the formation of a consultative body to deal with the chaos in state affairs, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik said no meeting has been planned yet.
An official from the National Assembly speaker's office said in a phone call with YTN, explaining that there is a possibility that the meeting could take place in half a day as it is an urgent task.
Previously, the ruling and opposition parties have disagreed on how to exclude the party leader from the consultative body and have the floor leader participate.
Since then, Kwon Sung-dong, acting chairman and floor leader of the People's Power Party, has left room for agreement, saying that the formation of a consultative body is not something for the ruling and opposition parties to fight for and mentioning the possibility of the party leader's participation in the consultative body.
