The number of employees related to construction and wholesale and retail businesses decreased in the first half of this year due to sluggish domestic demand.
According to a regional employment survey released by the National Statistical Office in the first half of this year, the number of store sales workers fell by 75,000 compared to the same period last year.
Employment in domestic-related occupations was sluggish, with the number of simple construction and mining workers decreasing by 56,000.
On the other hand, the non-resident welfare facility operation industry and the software development supply industry increased by 117,000 and 36,000, respectively.
The composition ratio of all wage workers by wage level was the highest, with less than 2 million won to 3 million won accounting for 32.1%.
Less than 1 million won to 2 million won was 10.7%, and less than 1 million won was 9.4%, with one in five wage workers earning less than 2 million won a month.
