Samsung Electronics' management and the National Samsung Electronics Union, the largest labor union in the company, have resumed main negotiations on wages and collective agreements.
This is the first time in 78 days that the main negotiations have resumed since intensive negotiations in July.
Negotiations will be carried out first for the 2023-2024 wage negotiations, which were not previously concluded, and once concluded, it will lead to wage negotiations in 2025.
Labor and management are expected to engage in a tug-of-war over a number of issues, including wage increases and improved treatment.
It is also expected to deal with measures to prevent recurrence of two workers being exposed to radiation due to poor radiation safety management.
However, as labor and management have many tasks to agree on, it will take some time for negotiations to be completed.
