A fire in an apartment in Dongtan New Town, Gyeonggi-do...80 residents evacuated.

A fire broke out on the third floor of an 18-story apartment building in Dongtan New Town, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, at around 8 p.m. yesterday (30th).

Seven people inhaled smoke from the fire, and one of them with an underlying disease was taken to a hospital.

In addition, more than 80 residents were evacuated.

Fire authorities are investigating the cause of the fire in detail after once issuing the first stage of response and extinguishing the fire in about 10 minutes.
