An activist arrested for pushing station workers during a protest.

An activist of the National Coalition for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities was arrested by the police for assaulting a station employee during a subway protest.

Jeon Jang-yeon, a female activist, is accused of wielding a bag and pushing a station employee on the platform of Hyehwa Station on Seoul Subway Line 4 at around 8:10 a.m. yesterday (30th).

In response, Jeon Jang-yeon claimed that the police forcefully arrested a female activist in the process of forced and violent eviction by the Seoul Transportation Corporation.

On this day, the Jeon Jang-yeon was holding a protest to denounce the dismissal of 400 public-centered workers with severe disabilities in Seoul.
